The history of the Chrysler brand of vehicles dates all the way back to the 1920’s. The Chrysler 70 was launched in 1924 by founder Walter Chrysler. There have been many innovations to come out of vehicles produced by the brand, including wheels with ridged rims that more securely held flat tires to the car so they wouldn’t fly off. The brand divided their vehicles by function and price class as the years went on - trying to offer cars on the lower end, middle, and high end to reach all kinds of customers. The brand announced a name change from Chrysler Group LLC to FCA US LLC in 2014 as Fiat had gained ownership of the group.
