Dodge Viper was an iconic sports car, a two-seater that ran from 1992 through 2017. Its second generation, called SR II, began in 1996, and in 2001, the supercar line truly took off. It was redesigned in 2002, a convertible became available, an SRT-10 roadster came out in 2003, and a limited-edition Mamba package appeared in 2004. The 2005 Detroit Auto Show unveiled an SRT-10 coupe for the 2006 model year, and, after a brief 2007 hiatus, a fourth generation, called ZB II, would appear. It ran between 2008 and 2010 with a V10 engine, a reworked exhaust, and a revised electrical system. It'd even get a run at Nurburgring. Following another hiatus from 2010 to 2012, it'd come back for a fifth generation, as VX. An SRT-branded variant showed up in 2013 and 2014. Special editions over the years included ACR, VX I, GTC, Time Attack (TA), GT2, and ACR-X. Today, the model's a collector's item for performance vehicle enthusiasts everywhere.
