The line of SUVs went on sale in 2006 for 2007. Trim options over the years ranged from SXT, SLT, R/T, and SE to Heat, Detonator, and Shock. Most notably, in 2011, the Heat trim got a 4.0 lifestyle package option. The Dodge Journey mid-size crossover took over the same year when Nitro itself was discontinued.
