Dodge Grand Caravan was a minivan that originally came out 1987. It was actually a long-wheelbase version of the Dodge Caravan, which came out in 1984. Model year 2001, during the fourth generation, was one of the many times the model took off. It ran through a fifth generation that began in 2008 and ended in 2020.
Trim options included base SE, SE Plus, Sport, SXT, and ES. Notable model years were many. 2003 saw the temporary return of the C/V model. 2004 brought an Anniversary Edition package to mark the line of vans' 20th year. 2005 saw the release of the popular Stow 'n Go seating system, with 2008 following up with Swivel 'n Go seating. There was a mid-cycle refresh in 2011, with a few style and functional changes, and in 2012, a value trim, AVP, was offered. In 2014, a sleek Blacktop package came out for sale. In 2015, some new features were added to the SE Plus and SXT Plus trims. 2017 featured tech updates and 2019 made a commemorative 35th anniversary trim available. The minivans were discontinued in 2020.
